NEW CHICKS

After months of moving, building, planning and scheming I finally found time to sit down, stare out my windows and start this blog.

It's a soggy January, South Texas day; raining intermittently while the goldfish float lazily near the pond's topside. My chickens are pecking about the yard with occasional retreats to what I like to call the 'high dollar coop', to visit the HAH's first newborns: Two little Production Red chicks, hatched by my white Silkies.

They couldn't have picked a better day to have their birthday remembered, being the same as my daughter's!
